New lectures in the Maani Center
Shavei Israel’s Maani Center continues with a series of lectures devoted to the history and traditions of various lost and hidden Jewish communities all over the world.
Eran Barzilay, Shavei Israel coordinator for the Chinese Jewish community, delivered a lecture on life and traditions of the Jewish community of Kaifeng. The second lecture, by Dr. Velvl Chernin, covered the topic of the Subbotniks Jews of Russia and post-Soviet countries and the current situation for this community.
