Tu B’Shevat: Because man is the tree of the field

On January 16, 2022, on the occasion of Tu B’Shevat, the 15th day of the month of Shevat celebrated as the ‘New Year for the Trees’, celebrations will be held all over the Jewish world including special ‘seders’, or organized meals similar to the Passover seder, but with a focus on the special fruits of the land of Israel.

In the Jewish community of Łódź, Poland, a unique program will be held for Jewish community activists as well as for people interested in learning about Jewish traditions and culture.

The celebration will be divided into two parts:
The first part of the events will take place in the afternoon, in the Łódź Jewish Community located in Łódź at ul. Pomorska 18. The second part of the ceremony, in the evening, will actually be in a tent organized by the Catholic Church as part of the ‘Days of Judaism,’ where they learn about and recognize Jewish observances.

A seder (wine, fruit and words of Torah) and a special concert are planned as part of the proceedings.

The entire ceremony will be held in accordance with the regulations in force in connection with Covid-19.

The participation fee is PLN 20
For those who are interested in attending you can RSVP your attendance and (optional) accommodations until January 14, 2022
