From Poland to Palm Beach: Shavei’s emissary as scholar-in-residence
Rabbi Avi Baumol, Shavei Israel’s emissary in Krakow, traveled to USA where he had the opportunity to lecture in several venues about his work in Poland. Rabbi Baumol was the scholar-in-residence both at the Young Israel of Hollywood, and also on a cruise in which he spoke five times including the story of the revival of Jewish life in Krakow.
A day before he left he also spoke at the Synagogue in Palm Beach. The event was attended by over 60 individuals including a well known supporter of Jewish life in Krakow at the JCC, Mr. Bruce Gendelman. We’re happy to share some photos with you of Rabbi Baumol speaking about his activities in Krakow and answering questions about the local community.
