Chanukah candle-lighting at Machon Miriam
Machon Miriam Jewish studies ulpan of Shavei Israel organized a special candle-lighting event of with the participation of Spanish-speaking teachers Rabbi Natan Menashe and Rabbi Yejiel Chilewski, and Italian-speaking teacher Profesor Ruth Mussi, and students of our Spanish and Italian classes.
The celebration included the lighting of Chanukah candles accompanied by the Chanukah songs, the distribution of chanukiyot (menoras) to all the students and delicious sufganiot (traditional doughnuts) prepared by our student, chef Rodrigo Rivera who hails from Brazil.
