A Yom Kippur ‘Machzor’ for Bnei Menashe

A Yom Kippur ‘Machzor’ for Bnei Menashe

As part of the efforts of Shavei Israel to support and provide for the religious and spiritual needs of the lost and hidden Jewish communities, much time and resources have gone to the translation of the entire Yom Kippur ‘machzor’ (prayer book) into Mizo. This beautiful volume of the Yom Kippur prayer services has been prepared especially for the Bnei Menashe Jews of Mizoram, and was printed in time to be distributed in both Israel and India.

It was translated by Rabbi Gideon Rei, himself a member of the Bnei Menashe. Rei worked countless hours to provide this much needed volume to enhance the prayers of the Bnei Menashe and to add to the cultural library of knowledge for the people of Israel.
