A Bar Mitzvah in Chile
Rav Israel Latapiat, our emissary in Santiago, Chile, in the the Chazon Ish community, had more things to celebrate this past month than just the holidays. His grandson, Moises, celebrated his bar mitzvah and it was a special celebration indeed.
Moises says, “I was born on the 25th day of the Jewish month of Elul the day of the creation of the world; under the spiritual influence of Parashat Nitzavim. And, as it says, today I am standing strongly before G-d and the people of Israel to accept my responsibility to serve God with all my heart, with all my soul and with all my might. and I ask G-d to guide me and strengthen me in the ways of the Torah.”
