Subbotnik Jews in Israel have a pre-Shavuot party
Tuesday evening, the Subbotnik community of Beit Shemesh gathered together in the ‘Netzach Menashe’ synagogue for a traditional pre-Shavuot party and Torah class with Rabbi Shlomo Zelig Avrasin. Fulfilling the mitzvah of increasing Torah study for Shavuot, the participants watched a movie telling the story of Ruth and discussed laws and traditions of the upcoming holiday.
